On the train
I.
Characters in a play / Strangers on a train
entrances & exits / my own entrance & exit
names & faces/ tips of icebergs
coming together
moving together
a dance of personalities
for a short eternity
on a journey
to where we are
always
and ever.
II.
Mournful, yearnings cry
across the desert
now happy
now sad
jabbed in the heart
with a golden spike
seeking penetration
into myself
With nowhere to go,
I’m on my way
Lord, no other way to go
and it’s a lonesome road
and a rocky road
an ordeal
to bring alive the senses
to move the mouth
to simply ask
for light.
