Music Man
Music Man/Thomas Chapin. An award-winning, documentary short film directed by Terri Castillo-Chapin about Thomas Chapin’s relationship to sound and ordinary objects as “instruments.” A relaxed Thomas shows his process of utilizing sound in similar fashion that he created his visual collage art (also see collages at “Art Gallery”). Featured musicians include: Thad Wheeler, percussion; Arthur Kell, bass; Saul Rubin, guitar. All were part of Thomas’ Brazilian musical group, called “Spirits Rebellious” in the mid-late 80s.
